Louis XV style gilded wood fire screen, 19th century

Carved gilded wood fire screen decorated with a tapestry with original stitches representing the abduction of Europa.

The surround is made up of detached columns topped with rosettes and pompoms.

The frame is decorated with pearl rays with a cornice topped with a frieze of openwork acanthus leaves on which rests a quiver, a bow and a crown of flowers. It rests on four arched scrolled legs.
