Superb statue of a young standing Buddha of Burmese origin, hand-carved in teak wood, gilded with gold leaf, and adorned with fine inlays of colored stones. His delicately sculpted face and serene gaze give him a powerful spiritual and calming presence. Every detail of the drapery and the folds of his robe reveals the sculptor’s mastery and the noble character of the material. The Buddha is depicted in the teaching mudra, holding a Myrobalan fruit, symbolizing enlightenment and wisdom. A refined and harmonious piece, it brings peace and balance to any space.
