This small writing desk from the 19th century is crafted in rosewood with inserted brass fillets. It exhibits a transitional blend of elements representative of both Louis XV and Louis XVI styles, notably seen in its curved legs. The desk’s legs and apron are also crafted from solid rosewood.

The desk features numerous beautiful embellishments in gilded bronze enhancing the aesthetic appearance of the piece. The original gilding on the bronze exhibits signs of wear in certain areas, attributable to its age dating back to the Napoleon III era (1852-1870).
