We present you this very unique buffet, crafted from Cuban mahogany in the style of Louis XV during the Napoleon III era. Standing at the perfect height for various uses, it has two curtain-style doors that reveal an interior fitted with eight drawers and two shelves. A unique feature of the drawers is their perforated backs adorned with delicate arabesque patterns, likely designed to provide better ventilation, possibly for the preservation of documents. The buffet is topped with a Carrara white marble surface encircled by an ornate gilded bronze gallery. It boasts a rich adornment of finely detailed gilded bronze elements, including decorative feet on all four legs, both upper and lower decorative accents, keyhole surrounds, and lamp bases. This exquisite piece is a product of Parisian craftsmanship from the famous Rue Faubourg Saint Antoine which historically renowned for its long-standing association with the furniture and cabinetmaking industry.
