This exceptional 19th-century piece is a monumental Saint Louis chandelier, entirely crafted in bronze and lavishly adorned with an opulent décor: clusters of grapes, pears, and finely carved crystal leaves, all enhanced by large, sparkling crystal drops measuring 14 cm in length. It embodies the tradition of French decorative art in a rich and generous baroque aesthetic, where luxuriant nature blends seamlessly with the brilliance of crystal.
The chandelier features eight lighted arms, each crowned with a fruit-themed crystal motif, alternating with four grand arms topped with crystal daggers. At the center, the stem is composed of an impressive large dagger (approximately 30 cm high), grounding the piece and completing its harmonious visual balance.
The chandelier has been fully restored: its electrical system has been modernized with 4 to 6-watt LED bulbs, providing a soft yet efficient illumination while preserving its antique spirit. With its strong architectural presence, this chandelier radiates dramatic impact: the interplay of light through the crystal drops and fruit ornaments creates a warm and theatrical atmosphere, ideal for a grand entrance hall, a high-ceilinged living room, or a reception space.
